Im using a good amp to power them and they hit so hard. The bass is so deep and strong, pretty much like having a 12in sub in your trunk. The mids are also very loud, crisp, and clear. The treble and mids are FANTASTIC. They are clear, precise, and can be cranked. The bass is very good and the only reason I say that the bass isn't fantastic is because these are some huge speakers with some huge magnets so you really need a powerful radio or separate amp to power these to get the full bass. My radio distorts the music when I turn the bass up really high because my radio is only like 15W per channel. Works extremely well if you upgrade later to a sub to separate the highs and mids to these speakers and the bass left the subs. Pros -FANTASTIC treble and mids -Great Bass -Work great if you use with a subwoofer and use a high pass filter for the bass and just let them play the trebel and mids which is where they REALLY shine. -Great construction -Look great -Fantastic price for... They are 4 ohm speakers which worked with my head unit or a Rockford Fosgate Punch Amplifier I had. They sounded excellent right out of the box - which, by the way, amazed me because I had ordered these from Amazon Warehouse and they were packaged in a box over three times the size necessary with no filler at all - not even the surrounding box for the Styrofoam which held the speakers - so they were bouncing around in the box - but luckily not damaged. I hooked them up without an enclosure initially and they sounded very good but the enclosure made a significant difference. I got the enclosures from Amazon for $24.00 and worth every penny. They are very well made and sound incredible. |
