Fits perfectly under the back seats of a 2007 GMC Sierra ext cab. Box is well constructed, caulked in all corners, heavy, and covered in a very dark gray charcoal carpet. My truck has black interior and it compliments it perfectly. Even was able to keep the jack handle in its mounted position. It does have two "humps" in the middle on each side(top) to help with speaker clearance. The pictures on the R/T Enterprises web site show it more accurately. Seats fold down and the fit is perfect. Getting ready to mount 2 10" Polk DXI's. Will let you know how it sounds once we get everything hooked up. I had to look and look for something to add bass to my truck without spending alot of money. I was over my budget and had my wife looking over my shoulder after spending 1500 on Pioneer head, three Infinity amps (two Kappa Fours and one Kappa One) and two sets of Kappa components. So, I see 65.oo for a dual enclosure that will hide under my back seat? No brainer...at least try it. Well, it turns out that the cheap Pioneer 253 10" in only one side of the enclosure sounds better in the .60 space of this box than in the 1 cu ft box I had borrowed. I put polyfill in it so it would make it act more like a more like .7 box, but I am getting true, accurate and punchy low notes -- whether it is Flea playing the bass, a bass drum, or the bottom of a cello. I haven't even heard it with two. ONE FLAW: The speaker terminals are cheap. I put 3 layers of duck tape over it and can't hear it... The one I received did not have any polyfill inside and did not have the obcon label. The box sounds alright. It does not have enough space to be loud and hit the low bass parts of songs. Its main purpose is for tight bass and it does deliver that. The box's design fits perfectly under the seat though. The packaging was good with three layers of cardboard and bubblewrap. Overall I didn't want to build a box so this is perfect for me but I am a little shady of why the company would put a picture of a box that the product doesnt even look like. |
