Not enough lows for me and distortion at high volume meant the Bostons had to go. I put a pair of these Tarantula 6x9s in my doors and a pair in the rear deck for rear fill, all hooked to the factory Boston amp and using the supplied crossovers. They fit in my factory locations just fine. I mounted the crossovers in the doors and on the rear deck so they won't rattle, and I got my trunk space back. Turn it up all the way, there is NO distortion. Unless you're a basshead, these provide all the lows you need without a sub. The magnets are large - about 4" in diameter, so make sure you have enough clearance when you install these. And you MUST use an amp to get the max out of them...but once you do, the sound quality is the best I've ever heard from 6x9s. Silky sweet highs. Balanced mids and surprisingly balanced tight lows. You will hear details you've probably never heard before in your music. I did...
