I recently bought a 'new' used car and put a HD Radio Receiver with a USB input for my MP3 Player (all Sony equip) and thought it would be a good idea to change the factory speakers...they were 15 years old. Just as a kick I searched out Boston Accoustics as my sister has a pair in her home stereo and they sound excellent. Checked them out on Boston's Web-Site and was pretty impressed with the specs and called locally for a price...YIKES!!! They are, after all, premium speakers and the price quotes from local dealers were, gulp, premium to match. Rather than write them off I checked Amazon.com and found what I was looking for at DiscountsJungle at a price that was well below previous quotes and on a level with what the Sony speakers were selling for...so I ordered them immediately. The rear speakers in Accords stink. The Bostons make a huge difference, and are optimum efficiency for the 12-15 watts per channel that their head units deliver. Most people will think it unnecessary to replace the front
Accord speakers; those are pretty decent as is.
