What can I say... they sound great. Crank 'em up... crisp, clean highs & solid bass. Installed in the rear of my '99 VW Jetta... installer suggested a special door insulation for better bass response... extremely satisfied!

These speakers are designed for highs and mids not bass. I hate when people post negative reviews on product because they don't understand it or they are ignorant. Sometimes ignorance is bliss, but don't make your self sound like idiots. I have these in my 2008 Accord and they fit with a little modification. The factory hole is perfect, but I had to drill two other wholes to screw them in. I did it my self. The speakers are being powered by a JL 300.4, which is perfect for these speakers and really makes them perform at their best.
For what they are made for they are the best for the price. These are not designed to output bass. I have a separate sub woofer (JL W7) so I removed all bass and set the built in switch to 0dB so I can get all the sound I can out of these babies. For the front I have Polk Audio components over all the setup sounds nice. I listen to all types of music mostly reggaeton and they sound nice and clear.

I know it's only a 6 3/4 (6 1/2) inch speaker but the bass is far far less than the original Clarion duo cones my car came with. I saw other reviews where they stated low bass as well but thought that was more for the people wanting the loud "THUMPING" bass you're just not going to get out of a 6 1/2. I was wrong. The bass is considerably less than original and it's a tossup on whether I will leave them installed. I may go back to the originals although the mid and highs are cleaner than the Clarion duo cones. If I had heard these before purchasing, I would not have. I only give it an okay rating as the mid and highs are well defined otherwise it would get 1 or no stars. Definitely would not buy again and would not recommend to anyone unless you have some other way to get bass.
