Installed in a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins and they sound fantastic. Currently connected to a stock radio. They fit with minimal modifications to the front door opening - had to notch the door a bit. The speakers improved the sound/music very well. Will recommend. Will install similar set in the rear doors. Overall an excellent set of speakers with very good construction. Installed with a set of XTC 6x9 baffles. Way to go Rockford Fosgate! They won't let you down., By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: NEW ROCKFORD FOSGATE 6x9" 2-WAY CAR STEREO SPEAKERS (Electronics) I have learned a lot about car audio since I bought these speakers. These 6x9's finished all the speakers in the car for all Rockford; subs, 5.25 and tweeters. These really spiced up the highs that were coming from the back. Not a lot but noticeable. I wasn't getting a lot of sound out of them from my Clarion VZ401 head unit, so at the recommendation of Crutchfield and various forums I purchased 150Hz bass blockers. Bad idea for me, while the bass blockers did cut out the lows that the speakers shouldn't reproduce, they also cut the power enough to start the head unit clipping. So while the sound was a tad better, I lost my volume. Which was the whole point to begin with. The point I'm making here is, if you don't know a whole lot like I did, get yourself an amp if you are using subs. With subs you are asking a hell of a lot from the other speakers using a head unit to compete with them. An amp made all the difference in the world.
