| 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful:  Sounds Great and Well Made, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: JBL MS9200 6-Inch x 9-Inch 2-Way Marine Speakers (Electronics) I previously had some infinity 6x9 speakers which sounded great in my boat but the tweeters ended up rotting out (I think it was because the domes were a metallized mylar).I bought these JBL MS9200 to replace the infinitys. They were significantly less money but are built the same if not better since the tweeter on these is not metallized. They were a direct fit for the old infinitys (no mods needed...Infinity and JBL are both owned by Harman International, right?). JBL included stainless screws and clip nuts. The speaker cage and grille are all white plastic so there's nothing to rust or oxidize. The sound is really great from these. My impression is they have slightly less bass than the infinitys but nothing to really make you dissapointed at all. Overall the bass is awesome from 6x9s. 6-1/2" don't even come close. If you're planning on putting some speakers in your boat, quit fooling around and just go for the 6x9. You won't be disappointed. With the... I hooked the 6.5" speakers off the head unit (4x40 watt) and a very noticeable change from the factory speakers. THen i installed a 6x9 under each couch on my party barge and hooked all 4 to a 250 watt Pioneer amp(2 per channel) .All I can say is wow! I like my music loud and clear with a noticeable bass sound. These speakers did more then i expected, sounds like i have a sub and i dont. I may put a bigger amp and run all 6 speakers off of an amp with more power and 4 channels. For now It is great.
