The sound is great installed with the factory JBL amp and easy to wire up.The only cons I have to say about these speakers are... Living in AZ the heat killed the glue that holds the rubber to the cone. I had to glue them in less than a year. Over all, they still sound good, but I'd like a speaker where I don't have to glue and repair. for the price I paid ($30) I'm happy with them. They have lots of mid and low range bass, even running on the stock deck in a 2000 Mazda they boom. I'm excited to get them hooked up to an amplifier. I also own a pair of the OHC comp and full range 6.5s and they sound great with these. I was surprised to find that speakers that are not 'name brand' or very much heard about, to be so good in both construction quality, sound quality and price. I would not hesitate to recommend these to anyone looking for decent speakers that can be installed in a low to mid budget system. They sound great, look great and perform awesome! for the price they are great.The only con I can find with them is the large spider that all the OHC products have. I think most of the spider design is for looks, some of it is for use. Makes the speaker sturdy, but also make the outer diameter much larger than 6.5. I'd hazard a guess at 7 inches.
